USA SAVATE WAS CREATED FOR THE SPORTS OF THE MARTIAL ART OF SAVATE TO HAVE A TRUE REPRESENTATION WITHIN THE UNITED STATES.

SAVATE is the national governing body f
or
French Boxing (Boxe Francaise) and Cane Fencing (Canne
De Combat), in the United States. As a national
governing body, USA SAVATE is responsible for
the administration, development and promotion of French Boxing
(Boxe Francaise) and Cane Fencing (Canne De Combat).
USA SAVATE
is a non-profit organization and is thus overseen by a
volunteer
Board of Directors.
Its
Board of Directors continues to protect its members
within strict rules and regulations concerning safety as well as protecting the
amateur status of its participants. Amongst the many
benefits
developed for our participants
is an insurance coverage for all members ( Clubs, Officials, Competitors) of USA
SAVATE, SAFETY is our priority.
Its
Headquarters are in Laredo,
Texas, USA SAVATE sanctions and hosts programs
-- from
developing the sport and its athletes from
Regional to International
Levels,
to sponsoring Regional,
National and International
competitions.
USA SAVATE is responsible for
the selection of the Official USA Savate Team.
USA SAVATE is hosting the 1st PAN-AMERICAN Savate Championships on
March 2003.
USA SAVATE spearheaded a
scholarship program for youth in 2006. Youth which are deemed not to enjoying
the same standards due to their social or environmental state of economics? We
do not like to use the phrase to solemnly categorize anyone as they are such
classified by At-Risk.
Every child needs a chance to be encouraged, mentored and become a freethinker.
That is why we believe in the Martial art of Savate Danse De Rue since we have
personally seen, that the practice of Savate: Boxe Francaise has governed the
determination of goal producing as well as instilling the discipline needed to
gain the proper skills to develop good students in school, which in turn leads
to a better citizen in society. This has been seen in France and Belgium for the
past two centuries.
There are many social experts who study human behavior and argue that today’s
kids are under higher levels of stress never seen before: Gang warfare,
proliferation of drugs, binge drinking and the spread of sexually-transmitted
diseases are a common part of a teenager’s society. The tragic result is that so
many young people are caught up in a dangerous lifestyle and place their health
and even their life at risk.
The goal setting mentality will enable young savateurs to live a healthier life
and in turn achieve a higher standard of living. They will understand Respect
and acquire knowledge of respect since they will be introduced to the
fascinating world of pugilism through the martial arts realm.
This Scholarship is paid for by various donations both private and public, they
are achieved by grants for the purpose. There are several grants given to USA
SAVATE solely for the purpose of the Scholarship programs, which may include the
sponsorship of a complete club or just per member.
The Scholarship programs per member will pay for a Youth for the age of 8 to 17
who wishes to partake in the program. An application will be submitted by the
Club, parent(s) or Guardian(s) of the minor.
The scholarship will pay for the following:
Tuition for a year at the stated formulated rate specified by USA SAVATE which
is paid in one lump sum to the Affiliate Club of USA SATE.
Test Fee of the passage de Grade will be Waived
